Long live books. And all the paper and ink and sweat and blood going into them.

Anon. Anthology

Us PubLab (Publishing Laboratory) kids have to upload the entire anthology to the printer by 5 on Tuesday. This anthology is filled with stories and poems by kids in their senior seminar course, and we have taken them, edited, formatted, and designed the interior pages of the book. What we haven’t got is the title and cover design. That is, the attention-getters, the sexy part of the book; the title and cover design equate to the function of male nipples: pure aesthetic, but needed nontheless.

I’ve been browsing Cover Spy, typography blogs, and even the words within the pages of the anthology itself. Nothing is jumping out at me. Some Cover Spy images are piquing my imagination, but nothing has gone as far as practical application.

Any ideas on this? All ideas are welcome.
